NATCOR is one of six UK-based Taught Course Centres in the Mathematical Sciences. Although NATCOR is aimed mainly at PhD students working in Operational Research, the courses that we run may also be of interest to students or post-docs working in Engineering, Computer Science or the Physical Sciences. In particular, we run courses on optimisation, heuristics, simulation and stochastic modelling. For further details, see:

BUDAPEST SUMMER SCHOOL IN DISCRETE MATHEMATICS
Second Announcement
The Institute of Mathematics of E?tv?s University Budapest is
organizing a one-week long summer school in mathematics between June 23
(Monday) and June 27 (Friday) for undergraduate and graduate students.
There will be 7 mini-courses (2 x 90 minutes each) with various topics
from discrete mathematics. Here is the list of lectures:
1) Krist?f B?rczi: Arborescence packing and its applications
2) Tam?s H?ger and P?ter Sziklai: Linear algebraic methods in graph theory
3) Tibor Jord?n: Combinatorial rigidity: graphs and matroids in the theory
of rigid frameworks
4) Gyula K?rolyi: Combinatorial Nullstellensatz with applications
5) Gy?rgy Kiss: Finite geometries: from definitions to applications
6) M?rton Nasz?di: Probabilistic methods in discrete geometry
7) D?m?t?r P?lv?lgyi: Geometric algorithms.
The lecturers will hand out exercises during their minicourses. For
participants solving these exercises, we will issue certificates worth 3
ECTS credits.
