Cornell University's School of Operations Research and Information Engineering (ORIE) seeks to fill multiple tenured/tenure-track faculty positions for its Ithaca campus. Applicants with research interests in e-commerce- and healthcare-related areas of supply chain logistics, and in integer programming, will receive primary consideration, although we welcome strong applicants from all research areas represented within ORIE. One of the faculty positions may include responsibilities within Cornell's Systems Engineering Program.
Requisite is a strong interest in the broad mission of the School, exceptional potential for leadership in research and education, an ability and willingness to teach at all levels of the program, and a PhD in operations research, mathematics, statistics, or a related field by the start of the appointment. Salary will be appropriate to qualifications and engineering school norms.

Authors are invited to submit papers presenting original research in the conference topics, in electronic form (pdf format) via EasyChair.
Submissions must be unpublished, not under review for publication elsewhere, and provide sufficient information to judge their merits.
Submissions must be in English, and not exceed 12 pages, including the title page, in Springer's LNCS LaTeX style (instructions available here). Additional material, to be read at the discretion of reviewers and PC members, may be provided in a clearly marked appendix or by reference to a manuscript on a web site.
Accepted papers will be published in an LNCS volume by Springer. Instructions for formatting camera-ready versions will be communicated to the authors of accepted papers.
For an accepted paper to be included in the proceedings, one of the authors must commit to presenting the paper at the conference.

FULL PAPERS : Submissions should not exceed 8 pages in general. However, if authors are willing to pay an over-length fee of $100/page, 2 additional pages are allowed for their submission. This over-length fee will be charged once the paper is accepted.
All papers will be reviewed by the Technical Program Committee and judged with respect to their quality, originality, and relevance. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, conditional upon the author's advance registration and attendance at the conference. Awards will be given for the best paper
Submissions must be received by the deadline of Friday, August 26, 2016 23:59, through the EDAS system (https://edas.info/newPaper.php?c=22702). Paper abstracts are due one week earlier by August 19, 2016. Submitted papers must not substantially overlap with papers that have been published or that are simultaneously submitted to a journal, conference or workshop. Simultaneous submission of the same work is not allowed. Submissions should use the IEEE conference template. POSTERS: We welcome submissions of poster applications in the form of a two-page extended abstract in PDF formatted with the same template for full papers. Accepted posters will be included in the conference proceedings as extended abstracts. Authors of accepted posters are expected to prepare and present their posters at the conference. SCOPE AND TOPICS
The goal of the International Conference on Performance Engineering (ICPE) is to integrate theory and practice in the field of performance engineering by providing a forum for sharing ideas and experiences between industry and academia. Nowadays, complex systems of all types, like Web-based systems, data centers and cloud infrastructures, social networks, peer-to-peer, mobile and wireless systems, cyber-physical systems, the Internet of Things, real-time and embedded systems, have increasingly distributed and dynamic system architectures that provide high flexibility, however, also increase the complexity of managing end-to-end application performance.
ICPE brings together researchers and industry practitioners to share and present their experiences, discuss challenges, and report state-of-the-art and in-progress research on performance engineering of software and systems, including performance measurement, modeling, benchmark design, and run-time performance management. The focus is both on classical metrics such as response time, throughput, resource utilization, and (energy) efficiency, as well as on the relationship of such metrics to other system properties including but not limited to scalability, elasticity, availability, reliability, and security.
This year's main theme is cost-effective performance engineering, where cost has a wide interpretation including measures such as effort and energy in addition to traditional performance measures.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished papers that are not
being considered in another forum. A variety of contribution styles for
papers are solicited including: basic and applied research papers for
novel scientific insights, industrial and experience papers reporting on
applying performance engineering or benchmarks in practice, and
work-in-progress/vision papers for ongoing but yet interesting work.
Different acceptance criteria apply based on the expected content of the
individual contribution types.
Authors will be requested to self-classify their papers according to
topic and contribution style when submitting their papers.
Submissions to all tracks need to be uploaded to ICPE's submission system
and conform to the ACM submission format. For detailed submission

At least one author of each accepted paper is required to register at
the full rate, attend the conference and present the paper. Presented
papers will be published in the ICPE 2017 conference proceedings that
will be published by ACM and included in the ACM Digital Library. After
the conference, there will be a call for a special issue of a journal.
AUTHORS TAKE NOTE: The official publication date is the date the proceedings
are made available in the ACM Digital Library. This date may be up to two weeks
prior to the first day of your conference. The official publication date affects
the deadline for any patent filings related to published work.
(For those rare conferences whose proceedings are published in the ACM Digital
Library after the conference is over, the official publication date remains the
first day of the conference.)
