PostDoc position (TV-L 13) in Algorithms/Mechanism Design/Optimization.
For two years starting December 1, 2016, or later.
A PostDoc position is available in the project ?Optimization under
Informational and Strategic Uncertainty?. The objective of the project
is to develop methods for solving problems incorporating both
strategic behavior and uncertainty. The project is funded within the
programme ?Einstein International Postdoctoral Fellow? by the Einstein
Foundation Berlin. Additional funds for travelling, guests and
workshops are provided by the Einstein Foundation. The position will
be part of the new Operations Research Group at the Department of
Economics of the Humboldt University Berlin.
Candidates should have an excellent PhD in mathematics, computer
science or a related area. There are no teaching requirements but good
communication and English skills are necessary.
Besides its many cultural attractions, Berlin offers a strong scientific
landscape including three major universities, the research center
MATHEON, and the Einstein Center for Mathematics; these offer
opportunities for joint research and support (e.g., meetings, lecture
series, summer schools etc.).
