Postdoctoral Associate Positions

DIMACS, the Center for Discrete Mathematics and Theoretical Computer
Science, invites applications for Postdoctoral Associate Positions for
2016-17. Applicants should be recent Ph.D.'s with interest in DIMACS
areas, such as theoretical computer science, discrete mathematics,
statistics, operations research, their applications, and related areas.
Current areas of emphasis include Cryptography, Cybersecurity, Energy
and Algorithms, Information Sharing and Data Analysis, and applications
of mathematics and computation to Homeland Security and to
Sustainability. One of these awards is expected to be joint with our
partner the Institute for Advanced Study. Some awards might be joint
with a partner institution such as Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs, Applied
Communication Sciences, AT&T Labs-Research, NEC Laboratories America,
Princeton, or Yahoo Labs. See

The Chair for Information Security and Cryptography at University of
Trier, Germany, offers a

Postdoc position

in the area of electronic voting, with a focus on cryptographic aspects.
The position is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) within
the DFG priority programme "Reliably Secure Software Systems - RS3".

We offer a creative international environment and the possibility to
participate in internationally leading research. The salary scale for
the position is TV-L E13 (100%). There are no teaching obligations. The
position is available immediately. Contracts are initially offered for
one year.

The successful candidate should hold a first degree in an area of
Computer Science, mathematics, or a related discipline, and have
completed, or be near completion of a PhD degree relevant to the
research area or equivalent qualifications or research experience. You
should have a proven high level of analytical capability and
mathematical skills, as well as research experience in cryptography.
Good English skills are expected; knowledge of German is not required.
