Prof. Kay Hamacher's working group invites applicants for a Research
position
in the area of privacy-preserving protocols and cryptography.
The position is initially available for 2,5 years and will be located
within the EC SPRIDE research center http://www.ec-spride.tu-darmstadt.de
The availability of the position is subject to the final agreement to
provide funding by the BMBF.
The research covers aspects of the design and analysis of
privacy-preserving protocols, private information retrieval, and/or
homomorphic encryption well suited for genetic and physiological data.
Ideally you have already gained experience in one or more of the
following areas:
* Cryptography
* techn. privacy protection, especially protocol design
* Biostatistics
Proficiency in spoken and written English is mandatory
The start date is October, 1st 2015 or as soon a possible. The research
will qualify you to obtain a Ph.D. degree in either computer science or
bioinformatics (depending on your previous studies and degrees). The
position could also be filled as a PostDoc.
The fulfillment of the research and service requirements attached to
this position serve at the same time as fulfillment of the academic
requirements for a candidate's doctoral degree.
The Technische Universität Darmstadt intends to increase the number of
female faculty members and encourages female candidates to apply. In
case of equal qualifications applicants with a degree of disability of
at least 50 or equal will be given preference. Wages and salaries are
according to the collective agreements on salary scales, which apply to
the Technische Universität Darmstadt (TV-TU Darmstadt). Part-time
employment is generally possible.
