Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research fellowship funded
by an ERC Starting Grant project entitled "Random Graph Geometry and
Convergence". The post is for 2 years starting October 2016
(negotiable), with possibility of extension. Other starting dates can be
negotiated. A strong background in enumerative and analytic
combinatorics, or random graphs, or random walks on graphs or groups
would be an asset.
The application *deadline* is *1 Mar 2016*.
Relater papers include http://arxiv.org/abs/1506.02697 and
http://arxiv.org/abs/1512.03572
A PhD position for the same project is also available, with starting
date October 2016. Although there is no strict deadline for this
position, we are likely to make an offer by Feb. 15th, so applications
should be received before that date.
Informal inquiries can be sent to Agelos Georgakopoulos (PI). The
Official application page for the postdoc position is

Inquiries about the PhD position should include a CV. Applications will
be handled by Warwick's standard procedures, see

EURO-2016 is not only a conference for sharing your best research ideas,
but also a forum for discussing OR education. Submitted abstracts in the
area "OR Education" are excepted from the one-person-one-talk rule at
EURO conferences. This means that a delegate is allowed to give a
presentation in "OR Education" as well as in one of the other 24 areas.
EURO-2016 will take place at the Poznan University of Technology on July
3-6, 2016. The following streams have already been announced in "OR
education":
Initiatives for OR Education
- Additional Educational Activities for OR
- OR in Regular Study Programs
- OR Promotion among Academia, Businesses, Governments, etc.
Education Policy
- Higher Education Policy
Teaching OR/MS
- Teaching OR/MS 1
Applications of Operational Research in Education
- Applications of Operational Research in Education 1
The deadline for abstract submissions is March 1st, using the
EURO-online submission system https://www.euro-online.org/conf/euro28/.
More information about the conference can be found on the website
